We Do not Need to Whisper is the first album of rock band Angels & Airwaves. The album was released on May 20, 2006 in Australia, on 22 May in the UK, and on May 23 in North America.
This album attracted mixed reactions from critics, with a Metacritic average of 53 [5] and received a nomination for MTV Video Music Awards award for Best New Artist, but lost from Avenged Sevenfold.
We Do not Need to Whisper certified Gold in Canada (50,000 copies sold) within 3 days. It was certified Silver in the UK (60,000 copies) and sold more than 127,000 copies in the United States in the first week of release. On August 16, 2008, the album has sold more than 550,000 copies in the U.S. alone. In July 2007, has sold more than 800,000 copies worldwide.
